Happy 1st Day of School 2016! Our three oldest are finally starting back to school today. They are SO excited and I am SO excited! I love having them home with me, but having a family with four kids, we definitely thrive on a schedule. We are looking forward to getting back in the swing of things and getting our routine going again.
Happy 1st Day of School 2016
This morning I managed to get up, do a 30 minute workout and get my shower in before getting the kids ready to go. I always feel so much better when I am ready for the day before everyone else is up and going. Maybe it’s just me……and maybe I’m a little crazy, but if I can get a couple ‘me’ things taken care of in the morning, then I am a much better mom to the kids for the rest of the day! I was really good about keep this routine when the girls started school. But when JoJo came along and I needed to nurse her in the morning, I wasn’t able to get in everything before the kids got up. But now that she is weaned, I’m happy to be back to our regularly scheduled program.
Savannah Rose
This girly of mine is starting 3rd grade! Can you even believe it?!?! I cannot. Savannah is such a mature young lady and a great big sister. She is thrilled that her teacher this year loves cows because she loves cows too! It’s going to be a mooooooo-velous year for her (I know, cheesy, but I couldn’t help myself).
Matilda Jane
Miss Matilda Jane is starting 2nd grade this year! She loves getting to be at school with all her friends. She’s our shy one, but once she gets comfortable, she is probably the most goofy in our bunch.
Caspian Finn
Mr. Caspian Finn will be in 5-day a week Pre-K at the same elementary school as his sisters. It’s a half day program that he did last year as well. We could have sent him to Kindergarten this year since he makes the cut off (by one day), but I think an extra year of preschool is going to do him a lot of good. He has the same teacher as last year (who he adores) and can’t wait to be back in class!
Josephine Mae
And JoJo isn’t actually going to school, but we let her wear a backpack so she didn’t feel left out. I guess we’ll say she’s going to ‘Mama school’. She will be 2 in October, so she’s got a good few years before she starts school. She loves to see the kids get on the bus and wave to them. She is such a sweetheart.
And here’s our goofy crew! Gosh, I love these four. My heart could explode looking at this picture. They make such a wonderfully, dynamic foursome.
I hope they all have a great year!
Precious, precious babies you have there !!!
