The Cottage Mama Sewing Contest winner is….the ‘Constellation-Class Dress’!
(Created and sewn by Andrea Rebholz)
Both of the judges, Nancy Zieman and Martha Pullen, were incredibly impressed by your creativity and attention to detail in creating this one-of-a-kind dress using the Janey Jumper Pattern. Thank you so much to everyone who entered the contest. You all have truly amazed me with your talent! We’ll definitely have to do this again.
Congratulations, Andrea, on your win!! And, thank you, Lindsay, for hosting such a fun contest…..we loved seeing everyone’s creativity shine through this challenge.
Thank you so much! Still in shock but grinning from ear to ear. I am honored!
Congratulation! The dress is adorable and so very unique!
Congratulations, Andrea! This truly is an amazing dress and this little girl is so blessed to have you sewing for her. This is a one of a kind keepsake. I would love to know if there is a story behind this creation. Is a parent or are the parents astronomers? Or, does this little “star” love looking at the night sky? The story behind the creation is always so interesting. Maybe in your excitement you can share the story. Congrats again! Well deserved.
This is just beautiful. Congrats to the winner! Adorable little model, too 🙂 🙂
Congratulations, such a pretty dress! I love your colour combinations and the little bit of tulle sticking out. You deserve to be a winner!
Congratulations to Andrea. Yes, her dress is beautiful and really unique . It is a one-of-a-kind look 🙂
Beautiful work – beautiful fabric – beautiful child -)
What was the point of the voting?
Hi Adele,
The voting comprised 25% of the total score. Thanks! Have a great day, Lindsay
I don’t understand why that dress won? The people’s votes clearly show they liked other dresses more then this one. This dress is cute and so is this baby but some of the other dresses were better.
Hi Chere,
Great to hear from you! The public vote was worth 25% of the total score. The judges had a very different opinion than the public vote and their score was worth 75% of the score. I didn’t want to put too much weight on the public vote so it didn’t end up being strictly a popularity contest. That just wouldn’t have been fair. Have a great day, Lindsay
I love it! I thought all the finalists were awesome, but this one really thought outside the box with the Janey Jumper. Congrats, Andrea! 🙂
