There is something so comforting about Chocolate Chip Cookies. I love everything about them. The flavor, the texture, the chocolate chips…..but finding the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe can be a little challenging depending on what kind of cooking you are trying to create. For me, I love a cookie that is a little crispy-crunchy and yet still has a really great chew factor. I’ve created a recipe that I think brings both of those things together. So if you like Crispy Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies, give this recipe a try. I think it hits the nail on the head, if I do say so myself.

- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 sticks butter (not unsalted)
- 1¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small bowl beat together the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Using an electric mixer, cream butter, brown sugar and white sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the flour and baking soda to the butter and sugar mixture and stir a couple times.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla mixture.
- Add chocolate chips and stir to combine.
- Scoop out spoonfuls of cookie dough, roll into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in oven for 16 - 17 minutes until golden brown.

This recipe makes quite a few cookies so these are perfect to make and share with friends. You could try this recipe with dark chocolate, peanut butter chips, toffee chips, nuts and more. It’s a great base recipe for the perfect Crispy and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie!

I need to try these ASAP! They look so good! Love your printable recipe too. So much easier 🙂
Yum! Crispy and chewy is a fine balance which you have achieved beautifully!
Can’t wait to try these! Quick question though….I only have unsalted butter, should I add a teaspoon of salt to the recipe?
