Machine embroidery is one of my favorite ways to add personalization to a children’s garment or other project. I know not everyone has a machine capable of embroidery, but if you do……this lesson is for you! In today’s Lesson with Lindsay video tutorial, I’ll be showing you exactly how to embroider a dress bodice. It’s so easy! Take a look………..

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Children
This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market, however, all ideas, opinions and suggestions are 100% mine.

I’m usually really good about Christmas shopping ahead of time. I like to get everything picked out, made and ordered so that I can enjoy the holiday season. But for some reason, I always seem to forget about stockings and end up causing myself stress when Christmas is upon us. Well, this year, I decided to be SUPER organized and get my stocking stuffers picked out and ready to go. I thought I’d share some of the items I’ve picked out for my kids stockings to give you a few ideas if you’re trying to figure out what to get this year. Now keep in mind, my children are 7 (girl), 6 (girl), 4 (boy) and 1 (girl) years old. So some of these things might not work for everyone, but hopefully this gives you a jumping off point!

Lessons with Lindsay Sewing Video: Hemming a Lined A-Line Dress

Today’s Lesson with Lindsay Sewing Video: Hemming a Lined A-Line Dress is one I’m very excited to share with you! In this video you will learn my technique for how to hem a lined A-line dress. If you’ve never tried hemming your garments this way, I’m pretty sure this will be your go-to technique from this point forward. This step is a little tricky for some folks when following my patterns, so I’m thrilled to be able to share this video with you all. This is a video that you don’t want to miss!
Josephine Mae Turns One
Dear Josephine,
Is it really true? My last baby, Josephine Mae, is officially one year old today. How can this possibly be? It truly seems like just yesterday that you became part of our family and yet, it feels like you’ve been a part of us forever. Today, on your first birthday, there are a few things I would like to remember about my sweet Josie Mae…….
Halloween Treat Bag Tutorial

Remember these Halloween Treat Bags that I made last year for the kids? I’m so excited for them to use these bags again this year. They turned out to be the perfect size for our kids and were nice and sturdy.
And this year, we have a fourth trick-or-treater that will be with us, Miss Josephine. Granted, she won’t be eating candy, but I’ll still let her take her bag along for the ride. And since I shared this post with you last year before she had arrived, here is Josie Mae’s bag:
