I’m usually really good about Christmas shopping ahead of time. I like to get everything picked out, made and ordered so that I can enjoy the holiday season. But for some reason, I always seem to forget about stockings and end up causing myself stress when Christmas is upon us. Well, this year, I decided to be SUPER organized and get my stocking stuffers picked out and ready to go. I thought I’d share some of the items I’ve picked out for my kids stockings to give you a few ideas if you’re trying to figure out what to get this year. Now keep in mind, my children are 7 (girl), 6 (girl), 4 (boy) and 1 (girl) years old. So some of these things might not work for everyone, but hopefully this gives you a jumping off point!
I’m sooooooo excited about these chopstick buddies. Aren’t they cute?!? My kids are always trying to use chopsticks when given the chance, but get frustrated after just a short while. These are going to make my kiddos so happy and it will make me happy because they’ll be begging me to order Chinese food (win-win).
This last couple months, everytime we go to World Market, my girls pick up these fans. I kid you not. Matilda was just begging me the other day to buy her one. She went around the store saying ‘it’s only $5’, ‘it’s only $5’………well, that was $5 that she did not have, so of course I didn’t give in and buy it for her. However, these are going to make fantastic stocking stuffers. World Market had a wide variety of paper and fabric fans ranging from $2 – $6, so you could get one that fits within your stocking stuffer budget.
And for my little man, I got this really cool looking, scary dinosaur. He’s been getting into dinosaurs lately, so I know he’ll love this…….I can hear him roaring right now. They had all different dinos, but this one looked the scariest which is what he likes these days! These can be found in-store.
I think these little boxes are so beautiful. I wouldn’t mind one for myself, but I got these for my girls. They like having a spot to stash all their little treasures…….coins, buttons, shells, etc. They also both have their own desks in their new room (which I will share with you eventually, I promise!), so I’m sure they’ll find the perfect place on their desks for these beauties. These specific boxes can be found in-store, but they have several other versions that you can order online (found here).
This stocking stuffer just really gave me a chuckle. The girls are very nervous about getting coal in their stockings from Santa if they end up on the naughty list. But this is the kind of coal you would like to have in your stocking. Cinnamon hard candy……yum!
Do you remember scratch and sniff stickers from when you were a kid? I loved those things. I actually had a sticker collection and my scratch and sniff stickers were my most prized possession. I thought the kids would have a lot of fun with these. They come in all sorts of flavors and smells……..they even had one that smelled like pizza!
You’ve got have a candy cane on Christmas, don’t you think? I bought the three big kids these large old fashioned candy canes…….there are three different flavors here (from left to right)…….peppermint, cherry and cinnamon.
Minions. What is it about them? I don’t understand it, but Christmas is not about me, it’s about the kids. So I got them these little minion tins with candy inside that I know they will go wild over. I also got them their favorite gummy bears too! I was surprised how much character candy World Market had in stock……..princesses, superheros, etc.
Some other things to think about when shopping for stocking stuffers for kids are bandaids, cute little packs of kleenex, a new toothbrush, Chapstick / lip gloss (these hedgehogs are SO cute!), socks, a fun ornament, lottery tickets, small books, DVDs, itunes gift cards (if they are old enough) and so on!
So I have a few more things to add to our stocking stuffer collections (specifically for Caspian……..Hot Wheels and Paw Patrol are his thing right now), but definitely check out World Market for all your stocking stuffer needs. I got Brett (my husband) some pretty awesome things too that are definitely unique and different……..not your run of the mill stuff that you’d find at other stores.
Here is a whole list of stocking stuffers for women, men and kids that might give you some additional ideas!
I was compensated by Cost Plus World Market for this blog post, but again, all opinions, ideas and suggestions are 100% mine. And if I didn’t love World Market, I wouldn’t be sharing these things with you. But seriously……..one of my favorite stores!
