Happy Almost Halloween! I felt the urge to sew something for Miss JoJo yesterday and I couldn’t get it out of my mind so I had to make it happen! As you know, she just turned 10 years old and I feel like my days are numbered in regards to how much longer she’ll want to wear mama made clothing or anything super girly like bows. But for now, she loves all things girly-girl!

This isn’t a full tutorial since I didn’t take step-by-step photos but hopefully I can explain it well enough that it makes sense!

New Product Launch from The Cottage Mama!

New Sewing Product Launch from The Cottage Mama

I’m very excited to announce that I’ve launched some new products over in The Cottage Mama Shop! I announced this is the email newsletter last week, but I realize that not all of you are newsletter subscribers. Now don’t you worry, I’m not venturing off from my love of sewing, crafting, cooking and creating, but I’ve thought for a good while that some of my designs would be really great on items other than just fabric. So I finally took a leap and decided to make it happen! There are all sorts of new products that I am slowly adding into the shop such as phone cases, sewing themed apparel, gift wrap, throw pillows, tote bags, drinkware, children’s apparel, notebooks, mugs, candles and more! I’m excited to share a sampling of what I am now offering over in the shop!

Shine Together: Heart Block Pattern

I’m so excited to have one of my fabric prints included in the most recent designer low volume collection from Riley Blake Designs called Hush Hush 3. Riley Blake is currently hosting a Shine Together Quilt Along with their FREE Shine Together Quilt Pattern. During the Quilt Along, Hush Hush 3 designers will be individually sharing new and colorful 6″ quilt blocks using Hush Hush 3 and POParrazi. Today I’m sharing a free 6″ block pattern that can be used in the free Shine Together Quilt Pattern in place of the 6″ star block included in the pattern.
