So I have been incredibly busy the last few weeks preparing to exhibit for the first time at International Quilt Market and I leave today. The show takes place in Houston every fall and I am so thankful that my mom and her husband live down there and have been able to help me coordinate all the logistics involved in having a booth and I have my in-laws lined up to watch the kids. I have attended market many times in the past, but this will be my very first time having my own booth promoting my patterns and new book. I am booth #1837, so if you are attending market, please stop by and say hello. I always love meeting people in person. If you aren’t attending, but want to see some behind the scenes photos during market, feel free follow me on Instagram @thecottagemama or on Facebook.
I have a schoolhouse session on Friday, October 25 at 4:15 – 4:55 in room 362A. I will be talking all about my new book, ‘Sew Classic Clothes for Girls: 20 Girls Dresses, Outfits and Accessories from The Cottage Mama.’ I will be doing five book signings for my new book at Brewer, Checker, United Notions, F & W Media and Baby Lock booths at Quilt Market. So if you are around, you might be able to snatch up a signed copy. And if not, come by the booth because I will have them for sale. The book has released and is now shipping to stores near you! It’s going to be an incredibly fun and exciting market. I can’t wait!
When I get back I will share more details about the book and everything inside, but I thought I would wait until I know you can find it in-stores.
On another note, last week I was interviewed by Pat Sloan over on the American Patchwork and Quilting Radio Podcast show. I had a really fun chat with Pat live on the air. They recorded the interview and you can listen to all the past guests over on their website.
We talked about The Cottage Mama, my new book, as well as pairing fabrics, my favorite sewing product and types of fabrics. Just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I was the first guest on the air and there were two other lovely ladies that followed each speaking. So if you missed the live interview, you can head over to AllPeopleQuilt.com and listen to the recorded interview. It was so much fun!
So I’m off to Houston for the next week!
But I do have another great fabric giveaway from our lovely sponsor, Fabricworm, scheduled for Friday, so check back for that one……you won’t want to miss it!
Have an amazing session!!
I will be SEW excited to see your book. With THREE adorable Granddaughters, I can find lots of inspiration!!!!! XXX
