A BIG Announcement!
In case you missed the very last line of that poem……….
Can you believe it? I think I’m still in shock, but we are beyond thrilled! My husband and I just kind of assumed we’d have another girl since we have two already, but when the ultra-sound technician told us the news, we were utterly stunned.
Me, miss “all about all things girly” is going to be the mama to a little man? Yippee! This little guy is going to change our family dynamic for sure. We got some great ultrasound pictures of him and I think he looks just perfect (of course I do, I’m his mama). I know some people don’t agree with finding out the gender before the birth, but it honestly makes me feel so much more connected to my baby knowing if it is a boy or girl. And I love this little guy already.
So, I’m guessing this little man is going to change things up here on the blog. You know I still do, and always will, love all things girly, but you’re definitely going to see a little more variety on here in regards to projects for boys. This blog is about my life and I have a feeling this little guy is going to steal my heart! He’s expected to be here some time in early September.
And will you believe me if I tell you that I’m already crafting up something for this little guy? Yep, it’s just a little something, but I can’t help myself. My head is swirling with all kinds of ideas and I can’t wait to start designing his nursery.
Thanks so much for letting me share this wonderful news and yeah for boys!!
Yayyyy!!!!!!! Congrats x 100! You’re going to be a great mommy to your baby boy!
Congratulations!!!!! I have 3 boys and every time I assumed I was going to have a girl ; ) Boys are wonderful.
How exciting!! Girls are girlie, but boys, well he will be sure to add a different dynamic to your life. Enjoy the adventure.
Have a God Filled Day
Shirley
PS I have 1 daughter and 3 sons; 6 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. What FUN!!
Congratulations!!! Same goes for us, we have 2 little girls, with a boy on the way 🙂
Very exciting!
Congratulations! I am mamma to two boys and they are very precious to me.
Congrats on number three being a boy! As a mom of three little boys I can tell you that you are in for some fun
That is so great! We have a boy and girl and they are so much fun! So many blessings!
Congrats to you and your family!!! Wow, that’s wonderful 🙂

Swedish mum who loves your blog!
Congrats! I am so happy for you. 🙂 We had 3 boys before our girl.
So fun! Congratulations! It is so great to be able to raise both genders of kids. I love getting to see the differences and uniqueness between my son and daughter. Have fun crafting for your boy!
yes!!! I am very happy for you…and I am especially happy to see some future little boy ideas on your blog!! I am a grandmother of a little red- headed 2 year old. Little boys are so much fun!
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations!! Boys are such fun! I’m so thrilled for you and your family..btw if you came up with boy e patterns you’d be a big hit..no one seems to have them and everyone seems to be looking for them…enjoy your pregnancy!
Congratulations, Lindsay! There is something truly precious about the relationship between a mother and her son. I am so happy for y’all!
Congrats! How exciting!
Congratulations! Boys are wonderful.
Congrats! I’m due in October and I’m counting the days to find out the gender. A little boy would sure mix things up around here too.
Congratulations Lindsay!! That is so exciting! I have three boys and then when I found out my 4th one was a girl, I was a little in shock too. It definitely changes things to have one of the opposite gender but boys are just so much fun! He will be the little prince for sure with your girls loving him and doting on him. So exciting!!
Congratulations!!! I also had a girl first and was pleasantly sewing all things girly. But my little guy (who is now 3 and I am sharing your potty training woes) has been such a blessing. He always asks for dresses when I make a new one for his sister. lol So he gets pants with giant pockets on them. And also vests, jackets, etc. Well, anything with trains makes him happy really. Little boy stuff can be just as fun, promise!
Yay for your Little Cute Guy!! Congratulations to you and your family!
Personally, I am always thrilled with ANYTHING you design, and will be tickled “pink” (pun intended) with your new baby boy projects too!
Hugs!!! MaryRose
That is EXACTLY how I felt when my husband and I discovered we were having a boy after having two girls…get ready…he’s gonna rock your world- in a GOOD way… :0)
Oh congratulations!! I’m so excited for y’all!!
-Many Smiles!
My little guy is so awesome. I cant believe I thought I wanted two girls. Boys love their mamas hard!
Congratulations!!!! That is so fun!! Your girls are going to love having a brother!
Congrats! I’m so excited for you, but also for me. I’m expecting a little guy in August and it’s hard to find crafty things for them. I can’t wait to see what you have planned 🙂
I am so excited for your family! What fun to change it up!! We had our ultrasound this week too and for the first time, we didn’t find out…have to say, I am a bit jealous that you know and can plan! At least they moved my due date up to August 29th–less time to be stressed out about the not knowing!! Anyways, congrats! Glad we’re in this third round together, and if we end up hearing, “it’s a boy” when this is all said and done, you can bet i will be learning all I can from you about boy clothing!!
what exciting news – and what a blessed little boy he will be for coming to your family. Tone
Oh Boy ! Congratulations!!! I have one son and three daughters… love them all so much!!

Congratulations!!! As a momma of 3 boys I can tell you that you are in for quite a treat:)
Yay! How exciting to find out you have a little boy growing! I keep asking my husband if he doesn’t want to go for just one more and have a boy, but he just rolls his eyes at me 🙂 Congratulations, a boy will be so much fun!!
Boys are so much fun!!! So thrilled for ya’ll!
Congratulations!
Congrats! I have two little girls…maybe well have a boy someday (I hope)!
Woot woot! Hooray 🙂
Congratulations! I was thinking about you and wondering what you’re having since we go Monday for our ultrasound. We also plan to find out. It seems like there are ALOT of people I know or have heard of due around teh time we both are that are having boys.
Oh how fun for you! Congratulations. I have to selfishly say too that I am WAY beyond the baby making years but, I welcome any boy-ish creations you come up with in preparation of welcoming your new little bundle home. We just yesterday afternoon we found out that our 2nd Grandchild due in early Sept is a boy also. The first Grandchild who is now 3 yrs old is an adorable girl so I need boy ideas myself.
I’m thrilled for you though. My Aunt and Uncle had girls, lots of them, 5 to be exact while trying to have that little boy until FINALLY their last one was a little boy. At least you didn’t have to wait for #6 to get your boy. LOL
Lindsey,
I receive your sweet Blog Post every evening in my email, I look forward to them! So I don’t post here much, but tonight I had to come over and say I am so happy for you and your family!! Your post has touched my heart in a very special way!!
Huggs, Nancy
Congrats to your and your husband and your sweet daughters!! I haven’t visited in a while (I was without my laptop for a while) and when I saw your “A Big Announcement” come up on my blog roll, I HAD to come over here and see… and what wonderful news! I wasn’t even aware that you were pregnant, so congrats on both being pregnant and having a BOY! As you said in your post: “YEAH FOR BOYS!” My “boy” is 20 now, and I can’t tell you how lucky you are to be having a son. I can honestly say that there is NO bond like a mother and son (and on the flip side: fathers and daughters!). Your boy is going to be there in more ways that you’d ever think your girls will be there for you. 🙂 I don’t know what I’d do without my boy… but, hooray for you, you will see what I mean! 🙂
Again, congrats to you all.
Best,
Gloria
How blessed your life will be. I only have girls, but I had the joy of having a young man in my home for a year and although my girls are my life, I realized that I would have loved having a boy. May the Lord be with you and give you great joy in the coming months and beyond.
Awww, congratulations!
Congratulations! I have a daughter and a new little boy, so I am looking forward to your boy ideas, as I love everything you make for girls! Wishing you and your family all the best!

What a great news !!! I’m a mum of boys : 11 years old, 8 years old and 6 months old and it is just great !!! I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy !!!
Congratulations! I have a boy and a girl. I always knew I wanted a daughter and went overboard with everything pink. When I found out that my 2nd child was going to be a boy, I was a little disappointed. Now that he is here, I can’t imagine my life without him. He is so much fun and not nearly as high-drama as his big sister. I love them both to bits and wouldn’t change a thing!
Congrats, so exciting! (I’m obviously a bit behind on my blog reader, haha) I like to find out the gender too, I’ve done the surprise and I’ve done the finding out and I liked the findout out a bit better! I found out at 32 weeks so I was near the end, and still had time to make stuff, but didn’t go too overboard pre-shopping and got to have a good long period of anticipation first.
