The Cottage Mama Now Hiring: Part-Time Assistant

The Cottage Mama Part Time Assistant position. www.thecottagemama.com

Over the last year The Cottage Mama business has grown in ways that I could have never imagined. For about six months now, the business has felt slightly overwhelming to me. I feel like I am just barely staying afloat balancing everything and it’s time to make a change. I originally thought about bringing on a creative team to contribute to the blog to lighten my load. I gave this a try last fall and decided it just wasn’t the right thing for me. I love writing this blog because I love my connection with all of you and I hope you feel the same.

So instead, I have decided to hire an assistant to help me with some logistical things business-wise behind the scenes. I’m hoping this move will free me up creatively to blog a little more, put out more patterns and just be a little bit more present in my life. I am looking for a very special person to bring onto my team. There are some very exciting things on the horizon for The Cottage Mama and if you would like to be part of it, please read the job posting above and send your cover letters, resumes and hourly salary requirements to Lindsay[at]thecottagemama[dot]com.

Have a great day!

  1. Is it only for US residents?

    • Hmmm……interesting question, Isabel. It’s a virtual position, so I guess it’s open to everyone. Thanks for asking!

      • Thanks Lisa for replying so quickly. I’m in France, that is why I asked. I’d love to work with (and for) you but let me read carefully the list of requested skills. Best regards, Isabel

  2. About how many hours a week do you see this position being? I am super interested but work full time and don’t want to waste your time if it’s going to be a 30+ hr a week position.
    Thanks!!!

  3. How long will you be accepting resumes?

What a great opportunity for someone! Wish I knew more about Word Press blogging, I’d be all over that. Good luck to you ladies. 🙂

  5. OMG this is an answer to my prayers. I would love to be your assistant but I’m not sure my resume would reflect my sewing and creative skills. In that I haven’t ever worked in the fashion or sewing industry. Can’t hurt to try though.. Right?
    Blessings, Gweny

  6. Will you be interested for a volunteer/intern? Someone who can help a few hours in a week… I would love to help you unpaid but I don’t really qualify all the points mentioned (I’ve never used photoshop)…

    Thank you!

  7. So excited for you Lindsay! So fun that you are to the point you can hire an assistant – sounds so nice to hand off some of that behind the scenes stuff to someone else so you can focus on the creativity!

  8. This is such an amazing opportunity! I’ve sent over my credentials and will be praying like a mad woman. 🙂 It’s so awesome and overwhelming when your business reaches the point of bringing other people on board. I hope you find someone who will be a blessing to you and will lighten your load!
