How to Use a PDF Pattern Video Tutorial by Lindsay Wilkes from The Cottage Mama

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!! I hope you all have had a wonderful start to 2017.

The blog has been silent here for a little bit with all of the activity from the holidays. I can’t believe how quickly the time slips by with the four kids. We were busy, busy from about Halloween until the start of the year. I love New Year’s! It’s always a great time to reflect, prioritize and goal set for the year ahead. So many exciting things ahead for this year……two fabric collections releasing with Riley Blake Designs (one in February and one in August), a woven ribbon line, new sewing patterns, the Baby Lock Love of Sewing Challenge, new teaching engagements and finally a new collection of Lessons with Lindsay videos starting today (my free online sewing video series sponsored by Baby Lock Sewing and Embroidery Machines)!

So I’ve got a new video for you all today. Some of you might find this video very basic if you are used to sewing with PDF patterns. But for those of you that have never been comfortable with the idea of purchasing a pattern online, printing it out at home to create the large pattern sheets, this video is for you! And even if you use PDF patterns from time to time, you may learn a thing or two in my new video. The majority of Cottage Mama patterns are offered in both paper and PDF format; however, there are a handful that are only offered in PDF.

I hope you enjoy today’s video and I’ve got many, many more videos coming in the next several months. A lot of them are complete project videos. Yay! The next videos in the pipeline are a three part series on my free Party Dress pattern where I take you through every step of the way in creating that super popular pattern. I’m really excited to be able to share all these videos with you…….I hope you are too!
